Love to be just an 18 year old...

Have you ever entered a five star hotel, sat there for 15 minutes, had a glass of water and then suddenly went off just because the price on the menu card was more than your one month’s pocket money!! Have you ever chased a 500 rupee note only to enter the trap thrown by your friends! Have you ever acted as a
weirdo just to bring a smile on your beloved’s face!! Or have you ever called up all your friends at midnight two just to tell them that you saw a cute guy today!
NO???? So you say you’ve had none of such experiences. Ok but may be at least you would have enjoyed full fat food in a “jungali” manner with buddies who complete you or would have at least sung the most rocking song in a pathetic manner at late hours roadside with a full “talli” gang. Incase not, and then I am afraid you really need help.
Let’s face it. All these things might sound stupid to you may be because they are just not into your standard of living. Or maybe because you are just not meant for such “vehla” stuff. But hey, somewhere at the back of your mind and in the core of your heart, even you are convinced that in these “faltu” tagged things, lay the real life. And this is what forms the crux of an 18 year old.
Remember, how life have been when you are just an 18 year old “bindass” and “besharam” teenager. It’s not that responsibilities are less at that time or life is easy because 18 is that transition milestone in one’s life when one grows both personally and professionally. Rather 18, being the ending phase of teen life forms the frame of one’s “Real life” picture. So it’s not at all easy to be an eighteen year old. But then y is it the coolest phase??  May be because of college life or due to our dependency on our family and friends? But this is certainly not the case.
The answer lies in the simple thought of joy. We lived in 18, because we enjoyed every bit of even the simplest of things. Often in the aura of chasing materialistic things, we tend to ignore the simple joys of life.

It’s not like you have to give an extra hour daily to feel that “joyous” part of life. But at least take an eye off from your busy scheduled life and look into the things around you with a perspective to live life. You will surely be attracted by their simple magnetism.
Remember, life is never meant to be easy. But it all depends on how by taking some easy steps, we can always unlock the door to that “lively” world. All we need is a splash of happiness in life’s pool to get going.
So, 18 is no more magic. Every year of your life is 18 only if you decide it to be. Go pamper yourself!
